The shapes and rhythms of calligraphy are on my mind. Calligraphy free from writing. Free from letters. I am having a binge. Will post more that I’m doing on my M200 but here is one with letters from the phone.

This is on the South Coast Walk in the Royal National Park, just South of Sydney. There must have been more than 5k of this grid. Why!! Ugly, unpleasant to walk on, expensive, and if it is there to prevent erosion, the rest of the 25K would have had heaps less with a bit of decent track marking and better drainage.

Sociometry: Facebook & Twitter

I am using Facebook a bit more lately.  I still use Twitter more.  But very differently.  This post for example I might link to Twitter, I found the link on Twitter.  It relates to my “Exploring the Psyche in Cyberspace” – psyberspace project.  And people who don’t like this stuff may well drop off, others who like it will stay on.  But Facebook is different.  Family, friends and local people hang out there.  I don’t want to foist my arcane musings onto them.   I might send a snippet, and a snippet of art.  My photos update from Flickr to Facebook.

Where is the People’s Internet?

The Future of Web Content – HTML5, Flash & Mobile Apps:

The recent introduction of the new Apple iPad has stirred the discussion over the future of web content and application runtime formats, and shone light onto the political and business battles emerging between Apple, Adobe and Google. These discussion are often highly polarized and irrational. My hope in this post is to help provide some balance and clarity onto this discussion.
