Personal history:
My father recalls as a child sitting on his fathers shoulders as they went to listen to Red Rosa come to talk to the workers in Amsterdam. He was born in 1911 so that must have been before the war.
Even more personal:
We had a cat called Rosa (named after RR that lived to be 23!
